Who we are

THE LOOP is managed by the Alpine Community Recovery Committee (ACRC) and is a volunteer community led organisation.

The ACRC was formed in June 2020 to enable long-term recovery for the community following the serious and widespread impacts of the 2019/20 Black-summer bushfires. The Community Recovery Committee has been recognised by the Alpine Shire Council and Emergency Recovery Victoria (formerly Bushfire Recovery Victoria).

In the first three years the CRC completed a recovery plan, advocated on a range of priority issues to local, state and federal agencies; reviewed over 85 community grant applications and contributed to ERV Recovery Newsletters. In 2022 the CRC recovery plan was adopted by the Alpine Resilience Partnership. The CRC has continued with its flagship project, The Loop. The Loop is a project to amplify preparedness and recovery support information to the Alpine Communities.

The Loop was originally funded by ERV and is currently funded by the generous grant from Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal. (FRRR).

We are always interested in considering new members for the ACRC. If you wish to apply to join the Alpine CRC and THE LOOP governance team please register your interest by completing the above feedback form.
