ERV (Emergency Recovery Victoria): Bogong High Plains Road

  • Bogong High Plains Road remains open with changed traffic conditions in place – 300m of single lane access has been restored across the front of the landslip between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek. Drivers can expect minimal delays before 8am and after 4pm each day, when works are not taking place. Outside these hours and at times overnight, drivers should allow an additional 15 minutes of travel time each way, with crews periodically needing to halt traffic while they continue works. Traffic signals have been programmed to prioritise peak travel times. For more information see https://bigbuild.vic.gov.au/projects/mrpv/bogong-high-plains-road-landslip/project-update

ERV Recovery Outreach

  • Recovery outreach: A multi-agency Recovery Outreach team recently took theAlpine Shire Engagement trailer to visit Tawonga, Dederang, Myrtleford Porepunkah, Buffalo River, Tawonga South and Mount Beauty, engaging with the local community, connecting communities with recovery services, and to ascertain what services, education or events local communities feel they need 7 months on from the flood and after opening of the Bogong High Plains Road.
