CFA: Stay Alert

Even though we have had a lot of rain, it means lots of mowing and wiper snipping to keep the grass and weeds under control.

Hopefully the current weather will continue, however at some time it is expected to become hot and dry.

Please check the BOM site for current and future information and stay aware and keep notice of the warnings and advice…..mainly flood alerts at the moment!!

*DEECA: Beat the Heat – How to cope in extreme heat this summer

Beat the heat this summer by drinking plenty of water, closing curtains and blinds in the morning to keep your house cool, wearing a hat and light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing made from cotton and linen, putting your feet in cool water or use wet towels, keeping in touch with sick or frail friends and family.

Also help animals survive by placing shallow containers of water around the garden.
