ASC: The First 72 Hours
Building a safer and more resilient community is a shared responsibility across all Victorians, not just emergency services.
Emergencies are hard to predict, and emergency services may be unable to reach you in a disaster. It’s not just about fires, storms or flood.
What would you do for the first 72 hours if you have no access to services such as power, water, gas, reception, road access, or limited food?
The First 72 hours Program is a simple step by step guide to planning for any emergency.
All information and an explanatory video can be found on the Alpine Shire Council website.

SES The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is the control agency for flooding in Victoria.
We plan for floods, help communities prepare, and manage emergency response when floods occur.
Flash flooding can occur quickly due to heavy rainfall and you may not receive an official warning. When riverine flooding is predicted, decide what you will do before flooding occurs.
