DEECA: Planned Burns
Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) is undertaking planned burning to reduce the size, intensity, and impact of bushfires on communities and the environment.
Reducing fuels such as grass, leaves, bark, shrubs and fallen branches means fires are less intense, slower to spread, and safer for firefighters to control.

DEECA/EPA: EPA is looking for community leaders.
Are you from the environment, business, social, education or multicultural areas that might be interested in becoming part of an EPA community consultation group.
We are planning to get this up and running in the next couple of months.
- Sample 1
- Sample 2
- The meetings are planned to be 1 to 1 ½ hours.
- We would really like to have representation from across all parts of our region if possible as well as a broad range of community leaders with different interests.
- The plan is to hold community consultation meetings once or twice a year.
- If members want to attend in person, the meetings will be held in Wangaratta.
- We also have facilities to allow members to join the meetings online from anywhere.
