CFA: Long Range Forecast

- For April to June, below median rainfall is likely to very likely (60% to greater than 80% chance) for almost all of Australia.
- April to June maximum temperatures are very likely (greater than 80% chance) to be warmer than median for most of Australia, tending to cooler than median around Queensland’s Gulf Country.
- April to June minimum temperatures are likely to very likely (60% to greater than 80% chance) to be warmer than median for south-western, far south-eastern and coastal eastern parts of Australia, as well as for northern Cape York Peninsula.
- This forecast reflects the status and outlook for several climate drivers and trends, including ENSO-neutral conditions (neither La Niña nor El Niño) and warming tropical ocean temperatures in the eastern Pacific. An El Nino WATCH is current.

CFA: Ovens Valley Brigade Elections
All CFA brigades in Ovens Valley Group of brigades are up to for their election cycle this year. Brigades appoint their Captains and Brigade Management Teams (BMT) every two years. Individuals take up their respective positions from 1/7/23, for a two-year period. Group Officer and Deputy Group Officers are also up for election. CFA are fortunate to have a great pool of experienced leaders in Ovens Valley Group from which to fill these positions from.
ERV: Successful Grant Recipients
Two local projects have recently received funding through the Bushfire Recovery Local Community Project Grants program:
· $301,000 to Alpine Health for the installation of Outdoor Fitness Equipment in Porepunkah and Myrtleford.
· $225,000 to Startup Shakeup Ltd for provision of in region digital training for small businesses and community organisations within Towong and Alpine Shires.
